Paanpoi Water Points for Birds

We have installed Paanpoi water points at different locations to provide drinking water for birds during the summer season. The initiative starts on 3 January and continues until the upcoming monsoon season. The Paanpoi water points are located at the following locations: • Shiroli–Pangadi Road: 1 Paanpoi water point • Shiroli–Junoni Road: 1 Paanpoi water point • Shiroli–Ghatanji Road: 6 Paanpoi water points We provide approximately 16 litres of drinking water every day across all Paanpoi water points. Each station is refilled by hand on a daily basis throughout the peak summer season to ensure birds have access to fresh water Total Paanpoi Water Points: 7

Who We Are

A youth mandal that started with a question about water

Registered in 2003 and active on the ground since 2005, Navchaitanya Bahuuddeshiya Vikas Yuva Mandal works out of Shiroli village in Ghatanji taluka — organising villagers, students and farmers around the resources their region depends on: water, trees and the birds and soil that share them.
